Italian Cooking

The villa's location at the crossroads of Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio means a unique cuisine that draws from the best of all three zones. And the "mountain cuisine" of Monte Amiata, Tuscany's highest mountain that can be seen west of the villa, offers even more new tastes that have been written about in the New York Times.

We have been compiling a list over the years of our favorite local restaurants and trattorias. Our focus is on off-the-beaten-trail, traditional Italian regional cuisine. We would be happy to make reservations for you, depending on your preferences.

And if you would like to try your hand at any of the local cuisines and take recipes and techniques back home with you, we can also arrange any type of cooking class – at the villa, at a winery, in a castle, or in a professional kitchen setting with certified chefs. Please inquire about options and pricing.
